About IGEC

The Institute for Global Electronic Commerce, drawing upon expertise and input from the corporate and university communities, is designed to promote the electronic transmission of commercial transactions through the connection of companies and universities and through the creation of new entities. It is of necessity multidisciplinary and represents the leading-edge thinkers and performers in the paperless world of commerce. The scope of the Institute is to foster a multidisciplinary educational and research program that covers such areas a Computer and Information Sciences and Technology, Law, and Business.

Objectives

  • Provide leading edge research and practical solution to issues related to electronic commerce.
  • Establish innovative multidisciplinary and international curriculum and degree programs to train students, industrial and government leaders in the area of electronic commerce.
  • Serve as an incubator for virtual companies.
