IGEC Courses and Curricula

The Institute for Global Electronic Commerce supports a variety of courses and curricula in conjunction with the UMBC College of Engineering, The UMBC Information Systems Department, UMBC's Continuing Education Department and the Rutgers Center for Information Management, Integration, and Connectivity (CIMIC). These include courses in traditional undergraduate and graduate programs, courses toward a new degree program in electronic commerce, a graduate certificate program in electronic commerce, and non-credit certification and training courses.

UMBC's Information Security Academy is a noncredit certificate program which offers 52 different courses in three different tracks: Managerial, Operational and Technical. Courses are both laboratory and lecture and range from introductory to intermediate topics. Participants can easily customize their certificate, completing five courses from any track and at any level.
UMBC's Web Systems Development and Management program provides three progressive noncredit certificates in web systems training: web systems specialist, web systems engineer and web systems master.
UMBC's Computer Certification Training Center offers a variety of certification programs, including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Professional, Certified Novell Administrator, and Computing Technology Industry Association A+.
