Graduate certificate in
electronic commerce

The UMBC College of Engineering is developing a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Electronic Commerce through the Institute for Global Electronic Commerce (IGEC), located within the College of Engineering. The proposed certificate program responds to the increasing need for workforce professionals with training in the technical, business, policy and legal issues surrounding electronic commerce. The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Electronic Commerce will be awarded following the satisfactory completion of 4 core courses (a total of 12 credits) from the following areas of Electronic Commerce: Overview, Technology, Business and Policy/Law. We anticipate that the program will officially being by September 2000.

The four courses will be offered in the 1999-2000 academic year and students taking them prior to the official approval of the certificate program should be able to apply them towards a certificate.
