What is electronic commerce? (IGEC FAQ) 0 - Ecommerce is the process of two or
more parties making business transactions via computer
and some type of network. The parties can be humans or software agents which represent businesses or individual consumers.
What is a digital wallet? (IGEC FAQ) 0 - A digital wallet is an application or service that assists consumers
in conducting online transactions by allowing them to store billing,
shipping, and payment information; and to use this information to
automatically complete a merchant's check-out page. This greatly
simplifies the check-out process and minimizes the need for a consumer
to manually complete a merchant's form every time. Digital wallets
have been successfully built into browsers, as helper applications to
browsers, as stand-alone client applications, and as server-based
applications.
