About CollECTeR

CollECTeR (Collaborative Electronic Commerce Technology and Research) is a joint venture by more than 25 universities around the world which, through a loose federation of research centres - one located at each institution - provides both depth and breadth of expertise in Electronic Commerce.

CollECTeR had its genesis in a workshop (PAWEC'97) held as part of the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS'97) held in Brisbane, Australia in 1997. Although the prime role of CollECTeR centres is to undertake research and consultancy both individually and as a network, the workshop/conference theme has continued to be an important part of the CollECTeR initiative since Brisbane. Further CollECTeR conferences were held in association with the Australasian Conference on Information Systems in Adelaide in 1997, Sydney in 1998, and Wellington, New Zealand in 1999.
